The Passing of Edward F. Ruiz - Ruiz Mexican Foods, Inc.

Our Founder, CEO, President, Father, Grandfather, and dear Friend Edward F. Ruiz passed away on Wednesday December 29, 2009. Mr. Edward Ruiz was without a doubt a dynamic talented businessman a true legendary entrepreneur and a pioneer of the Tortilla Industry. Mr. Ruiz was a compassionate friend and inspiring mentor to all his employees and business associates.

Edward F. Ruiz was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 25, 1929 to Luz and Luis Ruiz the youngest of seven children. Edward is survived by his wife Dolores C. Ruiz, two daughters Vivian Ruiz, Vickie Salgado and a son Edward F. Ruiz Jr. With 57 years in this tortilla industry, Edward F. Ruiz’s accomplishments and contributions to the industry without a doubt leave a significant “mark” that will be difficult to emulate. We will always remember you, rest in peace.
